highlighting the success of the 2023 Cleveland READS campaign

The celebration will begin at 6:30 p.m. until 10:00 pm
at the Main Library -325 Superior Avenue, Cleveland, OH.
Attendees will feast on food and cocktails while they stroll through different parts of the iconic Main Library including the historic Brett Hall where the current exhibit “The Archive” by Rebecca Louise Law is on display.
Guests will also get a special treat with entertainment by local comic Mike Polk and Cleveland Public Library’s own John Skrtic, who will perform a comedy skit on Cleveland history and libraries. Entitled “Mike Polk’s Twisted Takes on Historic Cleveland Photos with John Skrtic” is an educational and hilarious take on Cleveland and libraries. Mike is partnering with John Skrtic, Chief of Collections at the Cleveland Public Library, who has mined the library’s collection of great old pictures of Cleveland, many that have never been seen before in public. Mike Polk will add his twisted thoughts on what is really happening in the pictures that will keep you laughing!
This celebration of Cleveland READS and its achievements to help improve literacy rates will be a place to meet new friends and dance to the sounds of the Footprints Bank and the BlakkJakk Dance Collective for a fun-filled evening. Complimentary valet parking will be provided.
Dress is business casual.
